Why should I use Cogent Industries for my suspension?
Mountain Bike Suspension has come a long way over the years as with most bike related technology there have been advancements in the technology and engineering. This introduces more advanced designs with complex moving parts that ultimately give you, the rider, the performance benefit. You need to maintain these beautiful pieces of engineering that work hard for you, often in muddy or dusty conditions. We are passionate about suspension and working with our clients so they get the most out of theirs. From servicing to custom setup and testing you will feel the Cogent difference on the trails.
How often should I service my suspension?
The time between service intervals can vary depending on riding conditions etc. Below is a general guideline for most brands.
Forks:
Basic service with inspection, testing and lower leg refresh every 50 – 100 hrs ride time.
Full service including damper rebuild every 200 hrs or at least annually.
Shocks:
Basic with inspection, testing and air sleeve service every 100 – 200 hrs
Full service including damper rebuild every 250 hrs or at least annually.
How long does it take?
Our turnaround time is 48 hours or less. (Basic servicing will normally be within a day. Full servicing can be done in a day or take slightly longer and will be discussed after inspection of the unit, as we might suggest replacing certain parts and discuss upgrading options with clients).
How much does it cost?
Prices vary based on model specs and and parts needed. Should you require a quote before we work on your suspension we will gladly provide you with one.
In another area?
Absolutely no problem! Suspension can be shipped to us using your own carrier, alternatively we can arrange collection & delivery to meet your requirements. (Please note this is a billable event based on your location and dimensions of parcel). Cogent Industries will not be responsible for any loss or damage while goods are in transit with a courier company.
